Roaming Eyes is a domiciliary optometry service for people who are unable to attend an optician's premises
Our optometrist can
Visit you at home / in hospital / at an aged care facility
Provide a full sight test
Prescribe and dispense glasses
Provide you with a medical report & any recommendations
Provide minor adjustments and repairs to existing glasses
Provide a reminder service for future sight tests
How do we operate?
We can visit you at home, or in hospital etc, to perform a full sight test
Please use the contact form or call us on 0416111964 to arrange a visit
For Aged Care Facilities
Our optometry equipment is fully portable
We come to you and set up, at a time that is convenient to you
We can visit your premises several times per year (depending on location and number of residents)
Where possible, we consolidate visits to perform a number of sight tests. However, we do not have a "minimum numbers" policy, so if you have a resident who needs prompt attention, we will also make individual visits.
If you have patients who are immobile, we will do our best to accommodate them in their own rooms
After a day of testing, we will return to supply and fit any glasses that have been ordered. If any follow-up tests are required, these can usually be performed at this follow up visit
If we have not been to your premises before, we will be happy to arrange a courtesy visit in advance to discuss where and how our sight tests can be performed
We can also supply you with display information to inform your residents of our services
