ROAMING EYES OPTOMETRY SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES
Roaming Eyes remains open during our current lockdown status.
We have changed the way we operate in the interests of safety for all concerned – our social distancing measures are outlined below.
If we visit you, we ask that we can see you in an area where patient and optometrist can for the most part be well separated. We will work with just yourself. If you need a carer present, please make sure the room we use is big enough for us all to be able to socially distance adequately
Please inform us in advance if
- you are, or have recently been unwell with any cold/flu-like symptoms
- you have been in contact with anyone who is currently isolating as a COVID-19 precaution
You can expect some changes from the normal sight test routine We will minimise time spent in close contact, so expect some of your time with the optometrist to be spent well apart, and possibly even outside your residence if this is faesible.
During the examination, the optometrist will be “masked” and “gloved” for any short periods of time requiring closer contact.
There are some problems which can be discussed over the phone – telehealth consultations are available from Roaming Eyes when appropriate
We carry hand sanitiser with us for regular use, and routinely clean and wipe down all equipment between patients
Our suppliers are still operating, so repairs and replacements are available if you have lost or damaged your eyewear.
Thank you to all our customers who are still supporting our business. As always, please give us a call if you have any questions or problems regarding eye health. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
